One of the more striking features of Iran's political tumult these past two weeks has been the prominent role of Iranian women in leading the pro-reform movement.
Reports have been bubbling up on Twitter of a major police raid on dormitories at Tehran University last night. Photos and video posted online show destroyed doors, ransacked rooms, and students displaying their injuries.
This began as a seed of Nico Pitney's great coverage of the events in Iran on Huffington Post. It evolved into something else entirely. Nico has been posting summaries of the most important events, but what we have here is the most complete coverage anywhere.
On March 25, CNN's Anderson Cooper 360° rolled into El Paso to report on Mexican drug-cartel violence. Cooper was one more in a recent wave of national news heavy hitters to parachute in, scare the pants off millions of viewers, then jet off to the next headline destination.
