The following contains spoilers for last week's episode.
"I am offering you the last human solution you will be ever presented with."
All is not well in Dogsville. Lines stretch wall to wall as its inhabitants wait for their turn for what little food is left, and in the middle of this chaos we see a Six hiding her guise from the masses unsuccessfully. They notice her. A fight breaks out, and as we realize that this is Caprica Six holding them off, the notion that tensions between these two races still remains is never far behind.
In another part of the ship, a raptor has landed, and when it opens its doors, two long familiar legs great us. Ellen walks out onto the hanger bay, greeting her husband and lover, Tigh, warmly as a shocked Roslin looks on. The Cylon Queen has arrived and she brings with her news of Cavil's doings. Later, after a rendezvous with Tigh, Ellen is taken to Anders, and the Cylons want to vote to leave the ship, but she can hardly listen to the others' conversation. She just found out that Caprica Six is pregnant. Right then, a more familiar Ellen emerges when she's confronted with the indiscretions of her husband who no longer belongs to her. That and the fact that he was able to father a child with another Cylon who was their creation when they could not do so.
The Cylons believe that the path to procreation is through love. They believe this was how they were able to survive after Kobol, so for Ellen, when she sees that Tigh has fathered a child, she realizes that he truly loves Caprica. And though Tigh may love Caprica, he sees the child as more of a gift because he loves Ellen too.
In the end, the child dies. Not out of lack of love, or the stress Ellen causes by pushing the vote to leave the ship, but because Caprica probably exerted herself too much in Dogsville during that fight.
Meanwhile... Baltar is back amongst his followers and though Jean is happy, Paula isn't pleased. They have a stockpile of food which Paula claims they had a hard time taking. Baltar says he's sorry that his people suffered, and with the return of Virtual Six, he wins them over again, except for Paula. He goes into Dogsville, meets a little boy named Gaius, decides to give Dogsville the food, which is then promptly stolen by the Sons of Ares. When his people ask him what they should do, because Paula keeps fueling into negativity and dissent, he says that all they need is strength from within and guns. Courtesy of Six of course.
And Adama, who is convinced by Baltar, and continues to fall apart as he sees Galactica slowly turn into a hybrid.
